It never ceases to amaze me as to just how much great talent there still is right here on our doorstep.

And Simon Lees is certainly no exception !

It's been awhile now since I first experienced the wonderful dexterous guitar playing of Simon Lees.

Simons great rock voice, coupled with his note-perfect guitar playing, creates a simply amazing stage presence that I've not experience in a long time.

Although Simon has some formal training in the arts, he is basically a self-taught musician who has managed to pack-in an amazing amount of diverse achievements into his comparatively short 25 year career.

I'm sure that most entertainers would be more than happy with just a fraction of Simons achievements, here's just a few...

  • Guitarist of the Year in 1998.

  • Appeared on ITV's Stars in Their Eyes.

  • Formed and performed in a myriad of groups.

  • Made numerous CD's and Video recordings.

  • Performs legendary Rock Classics... note-perfect !

  • Writes and performs his own songs and instrumentals.

  • Has devised and teaches his own special system, that makes learning to play the guitar both easier and fun.

When Simon is not on tour with the well-known group "Budgie" as their lead guitarist and backing vocalist, he can be experienced live, performing solo in his own gigs around the area most weeks.

Whatever I say here cannot begin to adequately describe Simons amazing talent or convey the true feeling of his 'electric' performance !

So if you really want to experience some great rock music, played like it should be, and used to be, with such soul and precision, then you will just have to get along to one of his many live gigs...

Well... What an Amazing evening !
As ever, it was another great 'electric' performance from Simon !!

It's really hard to find more words to describe just how good an all-round performer Simon really is.

What a great package; A Talented Musician... And... A voice to die for 
 (which reminds me of Glenn Hughes in his prime).

It really doesn't get any better than this, and he makes it all look so easy.

And in my book, he makes many a famous guitar players look like amateurs !
