Good friends Joy & Nick have been performing together now for awhile, as the pleasantly unusual acoustic duo Rive Gauche...

Pleasantly unusual for a couple of reasons:

The first is really obvious; because Nick plays a traditional upright Bass (no it's not a mutant violin!) and you don't see many of those around these days.

And the second; is the kind of music they play, which adds a welcome variety to any live music event.

Oh, and there is a third reason, but I'll let you discover that for yourselves when you come along to their next gig !

The Rive Gauche Experience...
Can be enjoyed at many of the regular open-mic's and live shows held around the area.

And now even more so...
Because Joy & Nick are starting their very own open-mic...

Here's what Joy had to say recently...  ( New Venue ! )
"Yes we are starting a new acoustic night in Great Wyrley at the Old Wyrley Hall, but this will be somewhat different from the usual open-mic...

Because rather than have anyone just turn up and do their bit, we are limiting it to just 6 performers, booked for each evening (apart from Rive Gauche)

And the really great thing about doing it this way, is that each act will get at least a 20-minute spot!

We are aiming for quality rather than quantity entertainment. 
So to be sure of a slot, each performer will have to book their spot before each evenings event.

And all performers are really welcome no matter what your musical style or ability.

We are really pleased how things are going so far, places are going quickly, so don't be shy, please contact me right-away to book your slot, and we will book you in to the next available evening.

The evening will also include audience participation, theme nights, competitions, great raffles etc. 

What a great way to start the week...
The acoustic night will be upstairs in a lovely room with a stage and open bar. 
And Craig, the pub Landlord, is very supportive and looking forward to the opening night starting with a bang! 

We are really hoping to make this a friendly and fun venue, where audience and performers alike, will look forward to coming to."

 This fun evening will be held every Thursday at 8.30pm.
