The music scene is mainly dominated by guys... So it makes a refreshing change to finally discover Jackie & Linda...

Jackie & Linda first met 2 years ago whilst teaching together, where they combined their talents to put together a musical performance with their students.

It was however, during a recording session, where Jackie agreed to produce one of Linda’s own songs that they realised both their interests lay in the same types of music especially acoustic and soft rock. 

Jackie and Linda offer two very different kinds of shows, Duel & Phoenix...

Duel...
Which is pure live acoustic guitar and vocals where they perform a number of mellow songs from various artists and decades. 

Dual was born in July 2007 and through demand has developed into a self contained show using both acoustic and electric guitars. Their mixture of musical talents and humour make for a very entertaining performance.

As Dual is more synonymous with acoustic music we needed another name, which better represents the rocky sounds, which we create in our electric set, so Phoenix rose from the ashes...

Phoenix...
Is a self contained full on rock show, containing both knee high boots, tight jeans and “Paranoid”, where we both play electric guitars, it's a powerful live band atmosphere.

Our ever growing set contains a selection of pop and rock songs from past to present, and includes; Summer of 69, Bad case of loving you, Hot Stuff and 20th Century Boy, and many, many more.

Both set lists and promo CD are available on request. 

Both Dual and Phoenix are available for bookings for all occasions including, weddings, birthdays garden parties and house warming gatherings.

Spire ~ Music & Arts:
Jackie & Linda have combined their talents & developed ' Spire Music & Arts'

Jackie Nelson...
Has been a professional artist/entertainer for the past 18 years, where she's played in venues throughout the country.

Jackie has also written and recorded her own album Free Spirit, which has been played on local radio.

Jackie has recently graduated from Manchester University with a B.A Honours Degree in Music and Popular Music's during which time she taught music and performance at Newcastle Under Lyme College on the New Horizons programme for people with learning disabilities.

Jackie is also available for private one to one tuition for Guitar, Vocals, Keyboard and Theory.

For the past 12 months Jackie has been developing Spire with fellow teacher and musician Linda Weaver and now combines teaching with live performances.

Linda Weaver...
Is by trade a professional Sculptor and Artist, who became Wedgwood’s first female modeller at the age of 17. 

After an illustrious 18 year career she turned her professional ambitions to teaching, where she now teaches part time at Newcastle Under Lyme College delivering a range of subjects including Music & Movement, Pottery and 3D Sculpture to people with learning disabilities and difficulties. 

So don't forget...
